Goin’ Downtown For Sum Eats

On Friday I decided to take a walk downtown with Bryan and Mom. We sampled food at three different restaurants; Casual Joe’s, Townies Grill and Polito’s Pizza. For this blog, I will discuss my food experience at Casual Joe’s.

For those of you who don’t watch the Food Network (for DirecTV is channel 231), Casual Joe’s won a Food Court Challenge a few months ago. The team they competed against, Carlie & Company, currently work for them; however, I found out from Brianna, that Carlie & Company is back in business with the purchase of their own Food Truck. Congrats Carlie and Brianna! Here’s to not giving up on one’s dreams!

Anyway, let’s get to the food review. Friday was the day that I was going to try Casual Joe’s famous Bacon Mac & Cheese, which they featured in their Food Court Wars experience. Bryan and Mom tried it before me (damn retail getting in the way of my food fun, lol), and they highly recommended it. I grew up eating a ton of mac and cheese, and to this day, it is one of my most favorite foods. I consider myself a mac and cheese food critic, so it was meant for me to try. I look for presentation, flavor, texture and the taste of the cheese. Casual Joe’s had everything I was looking for. Fresh ingredients, unique flavor (it tasted more of a white cheddar than a traditional cheddar), the right pasta was what Casual Joe’s had. We also ordered their cheese curds, which were fresh and prepared well. Although they ran out of ranch, we tried their cranberry barbeque sauce, which went very well with the cheese curds. The service was very satisfactory, and we didn’t have to wait long to get our food. A food experience like this will get me back into their restaurant. A-

Have a Good Friday and Stay Tuned

It’s another Friday at the office. The Indian Summer continues (supposed to be 78 degrees today). May this day go by fast for you.

Not only am I going to work even harder to make a career out of social media, I am pursuing other work from home opportunities
too. They are out there; the question is, how much effort are you willing to put in? No income opportunity falls on your lap. You’re fooling yourself if you can make $10,000 a month with little work put into it. What I am going to do is share my insights on working from home, from the research I have done. Until then, goodbye!

Food Review, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, Wausau, WI

Mmmmm, delicious! That’s what I have to say about Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in Wausau, Wisconsin.

I’ll start with the sides I had, mac n cheese and baked Potato casserole. Just as fresh as these two sides can be; only 400 calories too. We all ordered the two meat plate; however, Bryan came up with this amazing idea. Why not order four different meats and split them all? So I ate 4 1/2 portions of meat; turkey, ham, pulled pork and spicy cheddar sausage. All of them were delicious, but I give the slight edge to the spicy cheddar sausage.

Dickey’s provides that local barbecue atmosphere with consistent customer service and delicious food.

Back to Work

I love the movie, “Office Space”.  Top 5 in my book!  Why?  The movie is 14 years old!  Because I can 100 percent relate to it.

I truly believe I am the real life Peter Gibbons.  I go to work with a chip on my shoulder every day.  The number one goal at work is to not get hassled, not my words, Gibbons’ words.  You know it is time to find work that you are going to enjoy more, when you have a situation like I have.

Picture yourself on a beach, okay, too far-fetched.  Picture yourself in your own home, with a shirt and sweatpants, working and making bucks.  This is my dream, and this is my dream job!  Google “work from home”.  Websites claim you can make $15,000 in a month.  If it is this easy, why isn’t everybody doing it?  Because it’s not and takes a tremendous amount of dedication to do it.  I haven’t been fully dedicated to social media management lately, but I have been posting through Hootsuite as much as I can.

Start with small financial goals; make enough to pay for bills and food.  Back to work!  It’s time to pursue some social media jobs again, now that the weather is cooling down.  If you are in a similar situation like I have, it is never too late to make a change.  Whatever the case may be, find your passion that is going to make your life more enjoyable.  I’M OUT!

Happy Friday the 13th!

Happy Friday the 13th

Well happy Friday the 13th everyone!  Remember, it’s just another Friday.  Don’t believe any of those Friday the 13th superstitions.  They’re just horror movies, most of them really cheesy, lol.  Make it a good day everyone, and enjoy the weekend!
